Set Up a Password Manager in 10 Minutes
A password manager creates and remembers a different strong password for every site. Pick one, import your saved passwords and turn on 2FA.
1. Pick one
Free and solid: Apple Passwords (Apple devices), Google Password Manager (Chrome/Android) or Bitwarden (everything). Paid: 1Password.
2. Strong master password
Use 4-5 random words. It's the one password you must remember; write it down and keep it safe at home.

Google Password Manager > Settings > Export
4. Turn on 2FA for the manager
Protect the vault itself with an authenticator app or passkey.
5. Fix the weak ones
Use the manager's security report to change reused and leaked passwords first.
FAQ
Is it safe to put all passwords in one place?
Yes, far safer than reusing passwords. Reputable managers encrypt your vault so the company can't read it.
What if the company is hacked?
Your vault is encrypted with your master password, which they never store. Use a strong one and 2FA.
