Counterpoint Research has published its first look at iPhone 18 Pro sales. Here are the numbers and what they do and don't tell you. Not financial advice.

1. Worldwide

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max sales were up 3.1% over their first three weeks compared with the iPhone 17 Pro series.

2. By country

China up 29%, US down 4%, Japan down 27%. In launch week Apple took 33% of China's smartphone sales, the #1 spot.

World: +3.1%

US: -4%
Japan: -27%

3. Why China

Counterpoint credits better early supply in China and higher prices for rival Android flagships.

4. Pro vs Pro Max

The Pro Max was 56% of Pro-series sales, versus 57% last year.

5. What's next

Apple reports September-quarter results on November 2, 2026 at 1:30 PM Pacific. That quarter ended September 26, so it includes only nine days of iPhone 18 Pro sales and none of the iPhone Duo.
